SmCo magnet is a kind of strong magnetic substance, which is widely used in industry, scientific research and other fields. Here is its detailed introduction:

1. Material composition: SmCo magnets are mainly composed of samarium (Sm) and cobalt (Co). Its chemical formula is SmCo5 or Sm2Co17, respectively representing the molar ratio of samarium and cobalt.

2. Magnetic properties: SmCo magnet is a strong magnetic material with excellent magnetic properties such as high coercive force, high remanence, and high magnetic energy product. Among them, the maximum coercive force of samarium cobalt 5 magnet (ie SmCo5) is about 25kOe, the remanence density is about 8kG, and the magnetic energy product is about 14MGOe; the maximum coercive force of samarium cobalt 17 magnet (ie Sm2Co17) is about 35kOe , The remanence density is about 10kG, and the magnetic energy product is about 30MGOe.

3. Manufacturing process: SmCo magnets are usually made by powder metallurgy process. The production process includes raw material preparation, mixing, pressing, sintering, processing and other steps. Among them, the sintering process is a key process in the production of samarium cobalt magnets, which directly affects its magnetic properties.

4. Application fields: SmCo disc magnets have the advantages of high temperature stability and good corrosion resistance, and are widely used in high-performance motors, sensors, solar panels and other fields. SmCo5 and Sm2Co17, (BH)max is in range of 16 to 32 MGOe. Maximum working temperature reaches 350°C. SmCo magnet has an extreme low temperature coefficient and perfect corrosion resistance.

Compared with NdFeB magnets, SmCo magnets have stronger corrosion resistance, higher temperature stability and suitable for high temperature environments.
