Permanent magnetic materials are widely used in various motors in the automotive, home appliance, energy, machinery, medical, aerospace and other industries, as well as components that need to generate strong gap magnetic fields. Magnetic materials are closely related to informatization, automation, mechatronics, national defense and all aspects of the national economy, and have irreplaceable advantages in many fields. Magnetic materials are generally Fe, Co, Ni elements and their alloys, rare earth elements and their alloys, and some Mn compounds. Magnetic materials are divided into soft magnetic materials and hard magnetic materials according to the difficulty of magnetization. Compared with permanent magnetic materials, soft magnetic materials are relatively easy to magnetize and demagnetize. Their main functions are magnetic conductivity, electromagnetic energy conversion and transmission; hard magnetic materials are also called permanent magnetic materials. After being magnetized by an external magnetic field, even under the action of a considerable reverse magnetic field, they can still partially or mostly maintain the original magnetization direction and perform electrical signal conversion. , electrical energy-mechanical energy conversion function, widely used in various motors in the automotive, home appliance, energy, machinery, medical, aerospace and other industries, as well as components that need to generate strong gap magnetic fields.

NdFeB has excellent performance in "magnetic properties" such as intrinsic coercivity, magnetic energy product, and remanence:

1. Strong anti-demagnetization ability, the intrinsic coercivity can reach that of samarium cobalt permanent magnet. It is about twice that of ferrite and about 3-10 times that of ferrite;

2. Instruments and meters using permanent magnetic materials have more potential in the field of lightweight, and the magnetic energy product is 1.5 times that of samarium cobalt permanent magnets and 10 times that of ferrites

3. Strong resistance to external magnetic fields, the remanence is 1.2 times that of samarium cobalt permanent magnets and 3-4 times that of ferrites. Therefore, NdFeB magnets are widely used due to their comparative advantages in intrinsic coercivity, magnetic energy product, and remanence, and are well-deserved "magnetic king". In contrast, the only advantage of ferrite is its low production cost, so it is mostly used in relatively low-end fields.
