NdFeB has excellent performance in intrinsic coercivity, magnetic energy product, remanence and other "magnetic properties" coefficients:

1. Strong anti-demagnetization ability, the intrinsic coercivity can reach that of SmCo permanent magnet. It is about twice that of ferrite and about 3-10 times that of ferrite;

2. Instruments and meters using NdFeB magnetic materials have more potential in the field of lightweight, and the magnetic energy product is 1.5 times that of SmCo permanent magnet and 10 times that of ferrite

3. Strong resistance to external magnetic field, remanence is 1.2 times that of SmCo permanent magnet and 3-4 times that of ferrite.

Therefore, NdFeB magnets are widely used due to their comparative advantages in intrinsic coercivity, magnetic energy product, remanence and other aspects, and are well-deserved "magnet king".

High-performance NdFeB magnets are difficult to replace, with both rigid demand and rapid growth characteristics. Sintered NdFeB magnets are the mainstream type. According to different production processes, NdFeB magnets can be divided into three types: sintered, bonded and hot-pressed.

1. Sintered NdFeB magnetic materials use powder metallurgy to make prefabricated materials into fine powder, press them into billets, and then sinter them. It has the characteristics of high magnetic energy product, high coercive force, and high operating temperature. It is mainly used in motors, generators and other fields;

2. Bonded NdFeB magnets are magnets made by uniformly mixing NdFeB magnetic powder with polymer materials and various additives, and then using molding methods such as molding or injection molding. The performance of bonded NdFeB is not as good as that of sintered NdFeB, but it has the advantages of simple process, low cost, small size, high precision, uniform and stable magnetic field, etc. It is mainly used in information technology, office automation, consumer electronics and other fields.
