Bonded NdFeB (NdFeB) is the most powerful permanent magnet material at present. It has the advantages of high energy density, high magnetic properties, high temperature performance, etc. It is widely used in electronics, instrumentation, electric vehicles, medical equipment and other fields. Among them, the pressing and injection molding of bonded NdFeB are two common preparation processes. Below, we will specifically introduce the differences between these two processes.
First, the process flow of bonded NdFeB pressing is relatively simple and low cost. Its main process flow includes: preparation of magnetic powder, mixing, pressing, sintering annealing, etc. In the pressing process, isostatic pressing technology is generally used, that is, by setting pressure and time, the bonded NdFeB magnetic powder is pressed into a blank with certain magnetic properties and external dimensions. This pressing process is suitable for preparing permanent magnets with simple shapes, stable dimensions and low precision requirements.
Secondly, the injection molding process of bonded NdFeB requires special injection molding equipment and molds, and the cost is relatively high. The injection molding process mainly includes: fine grinding, mixing, injection, sintering annealing, etc. Among them, injection molding is the key link of the injection molding process. Unlike the pressing process, during the injection molding process, the bonded NdFeB magnetic powder needs to be fully mixed with the binder under high pressure and high temperature to form a slurry with good fluidity, and then directly injected into the mold for molding. The injection molding process is more suitable for permanent magnets with complex shapes, precise dimensions, and stable magnetic properties.
In general, although the bonded NdFeB pressing molding and injection molding are different in process, they both have certain advantages and application areas. The choice of process should depend on specific needs. At the same time, no matter which process is used, professional technical personnel, high-quality raw materials and strict production management are required to ensure the quality and performance of bonded NdFeB permanent magnets.
