Magnetite is the main raw material for iron and steel smelting and production. Most high-grade iron concentrates need to be obtained through mining, ore washing, crushing, ore grinding, and magnetic separation. During the mining process of ore, it is inevitable to be mixed with a certain amount of surrounding rocks, which reduces the grade of the ore to be selected; could not proceed smoothly. In order to reduce transportation and production costs, save energy consumption of ore grinding in concentrators, and improve the grade of ore to be selected, the dry pre-selection and tailing process of ore after coarse and medium crushing has been applied in more and more iron ore concentrators.

The fine ore air-driven dry magnetic separator is a new type of dry magnetic separation equipment, mainly composed of a transmission device, a magnetic separation drum, a blower device, an induced wind dust removal device, and a sedimentation collection device. Make full use of the effects of wind, gravity, magnetic force, centrifugal force, etc. Compared with conventional drum dry separators, it can more effectively carry out dry pre-selection of coarse-grained dry pre-grinding and fine-grained purification of magnetic minerals, thereby solving drought The problem of separation of magnetic minerals in water-scarce and cold regions is also applicable to the recovery of iron from fine-grained steel slag.
