Samarium cobalt ring magnet, also known as SmCo ring magnet, is a commonly used magnetic material, and its chemical composition is SmCo5 or Sm2Co17. SmCo magnets have excellent magnetic properties, high coercive force, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance, so they are widely used in electrical, electronic, computer technology, aerospace and other fields.
The manufacturing process of samarium-cobalt ring magnets is relatively complicated, and multiple processes such as pressing and sintering are required during manufacture. Samarium cobalt ring magnets are mainly divided into two types, namely coaxial type and split shaft type. The SmCo Ring Magnet are divided into inner circle, inner circle and outer circle and inner circle, inner circle and outer circle, while split-axis type refers to the combination of two magnets magnetized in different directions.
Samarium cobalt ring magnets are widely used, for example, in motors, generators, computer hard drive read/write heads, antennas, sensors, medical equipment, aerospace and other fields. Samarium-cobalt ring magnets have stable magnetic properties, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and radiation resistance, making them irreplaceable in the design of high-performance electronic devices.
Characteristics
1、The SmCo Ring Magnet has high magnetic performance (high Br, Hcb & (BH) max), reaching the (BH) max of 35MGOe under room temperature, which is only lower than NdFeB magnet, but much higher than other magnets.
2、The working temperature of the SmCo magnet can reach 550℃ that is the highest among all other magnets.
3、The SmCo Ring Magnet has strong corrosion resistance and anti-oxidation, which can be used for a durable time.
4、The SmCo Ring Magnet has an extremely low temperature coefficient, generally -0.030%/K.
